Muskies Suck by Pete Maina. Another great Musky book penned by Pete Maina is entitled, “Muskies Suck.” Don’t expect much advice on Musky strategy in this one however, except maybe what not to do. This book is full of hilarious true stories from Maina’s guiding career. The book is a bit older but good Musky stories age like a fine wine. Muskies Suck - This book is really a must to read. It is funny, educational, and the irreverent painful stories of a muskie guide bitten by the musky bug!! Muskies Suck is the hilarious collection of what can (and did) go wrong in Pete Mania's pursuit of muskies. Another book you won't put down till . My favorites are, “The Complete Guide to Musky Hunting”, Joe Buchers “Crankbait Secrets” and “Muskies On The Shield”, Pete Maina’s “Muskies Suck” and “Musky Mastery” by Steve Heiting. Those books all get read at some point during every off season. As far as books Muskie! by russ warye (sp?)has history and lake specific info. Muskies Maina Style is decent, Muskies Suck will make you laugh. Ramsells compendiums are really indepth and good wintertime reads. My to read list consits of time on the water, the one that Rob Kimm and Jack burns did, and one of Tony Rizzos books.
In Pete Mainas “muskies suck” book he has an interesting take on the situation. Many panfisherman (he says) go to the same spot week after week, year after year, and they keep dozens if not hundreds of fish everytime they can. These same people are the ones that can’t figure out why there are no more panfish left and blame muskies. I have the following group of Musky Books for sale. All for one price, at this time.
